Our goal is to provide the best tools for all the pieces of the lighting puzzle. To do this, Avid Lighting has developed its own lighting platform: the lights on your house, the app on your phone, and the controllers on your house are all supported by us.

Why We Built It
One Company. The Whole System.
Most permanent lighting installers use someone else’s app or generic lighting controllers. The problem with this is that when something goes wrong, the installer blames the app they have no control over and the app maker blames the install, and you’re in the middle stuck on hold.
We built Avid Lighting so that doesn’t happen. The app, the controllers, and the connection between them are ours. The same company that measured your roofline runs the platform your lights live on. We’re dedicated to providing the most intuitive and seamless lighting control platform available.
This also means we can design our app around how people actually use permanent lighting. If there is a feature or functionality you think would be a great addition to the app – let us know!

Avid Lighting controllers on your house are built with the Avid lighting firmware to connect seamlessly with our app.
The connection
Controllers stay connected through your home Wi-Fi, so the app works from the driveway or another state. No wi-fi? Lights can still be turned on and off directly from the controller box.
The support
One company installed it, runs the platform, and answers the phone. No finger-pointing between an installer and an app maker.

Preview before you apply
Every scene previews on a drawing of a house first, so you know what you are getting before the neighbors do.
Music sync
Sixteen sound-reactive scenes move with whatever is playing: a meter that climbs with the volume, an equalizer across the house, ripples on the beat.
Design your own
Build a scene from one color, a repeating pattern, or any of more than a hundred effects. Or paint the strip one light at a time.
Create zones for more control
Zones allow you to separate and control individual segments of lights on your house. Set up lighting for the front porch, garage, back patio, and more. Each zone then runs on its own.
Schedules that follow the sun
On at sunset, off at sunrise, and the times shift through the year with the real sunrise and sunset at your address. Or pick exact times and days.
Holidays on autopilot
Assign scenes to dates and Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas simply happen. You never have to open the app.
Everyone in the house
Invite family members and they get the same control from their own phones. Saved scenes are shared with everyone.

Sync your favorite songs
Music sync uses the microphone built into the controller on your house. The microphone only runs while a music scene is on, and no audio is recorded or sent to us or the app.
